The short version
FuelPrice Live is a read-mostly information site. We do not require accounts, we do not sell personal data, and the price table runs entirely in your browser — your searches and sorts never leave your device. We collect the minimum needed to operate the site: basic anonymous analytics, anything you send us via the contact form, and — once enabled — standard Google AdSense advertising cookies.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Data you give us
- Contact form / email. When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this solely to respond to you. We keep messages for up to 12 months, then delete them.
- We do not ask for, and please do not send us, sensitive information such as ID numbers, financial details, or precise location data.
1.2 Data collected automatically
- Anonymous analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand which pages are visited and how many visitors we get. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used for profiling.
2. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — keep the site working (for example, remembering your consent choice). No consent is needed for these.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense, when enabled). We plan to show ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can control cookies in your browser settings at any time: block them, delete them, or receive a warning before they are set. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings page. Blocking advertising cookies will not break the site — the price table works without any cookies at all.
3. How we use your information
- To operate and improve the site (analytics, bug fixes).
- To respond to your messages and correct our data.
- To display relevant advertising that funds the site (via AdSense, when enabled).
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Data retention and security
Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months. Analytics data is aggregated and retained by our analytics provider under its own retention policy. We use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS, access control) to protect the data we hold, but no internet transmission is completely secure.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@fuelprice-live.netlify.app — we will respond within 30 days.
6. Children
This site is a general-audience information resource and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the site footer's "last updated" line.
